Learn up to 200++ recipes & Hands-On Skills
Encompasses 80% in practical skills, and 20% in theoretical study. Other than cooking techniques, students will also be trained to run and manage a professional kitchen, restaurant/café. This program empowers students with essential skills, including menu design, efficient stock inventory management, adept kitchen operations, barista expertise, attentive servicing, and customer service with patrons.

After I graduated from Cilantro Culinary Academy I went to the U.S. Virgin Islands, Dubai, and the Maldives to further my culinary training. Currently I am back in Malaysia, working at Communal Table by gēn in Penang.
The best part of being a chef is that I had the opportunity to work in different countries and learn their cuisine & culture. I also got to know people from around the world.
To all the newcomers aspiring to enter this industry, don’t be afraid of going beyond your comfort zone. Be open minded and learn from different chefs.

I started my career in Hilton Kuala Lumpur where I began my On-Job Training, and I got the job right after. Now I am a sous chef in Nathalie’s Gourmet Studio, specializing in French fusion fine dining and catering.
Cilantro Culinary Academy is a good place to start pursuing your dream. The knowledgeable chef instructors can teach you to master your fundamental skills and knowledge in culinary arts. Here, I would like to take the chance to say thank you to my chef instructors Chef Alan and Chef Loke.

As head chef at Iggo, I always try to incorporate fresh local ingredients into our dishes and present them with a western twist. I would like to introduce more western dishes to the local area.

My career in this industry began after I signed up for an Instagram for Business account to showcase my works. Aside from baking customized cakes, I also host workshops to teach cake decoration techniques.
The On-Job Training programme helped me a lot to kick start my career. When I was undergoing my training in Sunway Resort Hotel & Spa, I learnt lots of baking techniques and management skills.
In the future, I hope to host more baking workshops and continue to learn newer cake decorating techniques.
